Pioneer Log Homes Supports Sports Day in Canada

Pioneer Log Homes of BC is proud to support RBC’s Sports Day in Canada! RBC’s Sports Day in Canada is a national celebration of the community of sport at all levels. Pioneer Log Homes of BC will be taking part in this event by participating in National Jersey Day, November 20, 2015. We invite all our friends and family to take part with us – wear your favourite jersey on Friday November 20th, then snap a photo and share with us on our social media pages! Stay tuned for photos of our crew in their favourite jerseys.

Pioneer is an advocate for and supporter of sports in our community. Not only do we donate to local sports teams, athletes and tournaments, but our staff are involved in many different local sports organizations. Here are a few of the sports heroes we have on board here at Pioneer:

Doug (Draftsman): Doug plays community fun baseball, referees Williams Lake Minor Hockey and senior hockey, and leads referee clinics.

Paula (Company Controller): Paula manages her daughter’s rep soccer team and also manages the Williams Lake camps for European Football School out of Vancouver. She was a board member of Williams Lake Youth Soccer for 6 years (2009-2015), including 3 of those years as President. Paula has also spent countless hours running the clock at her daughters’ hockey games. Paula also enjoys mountain biking and kayaking.

Amanda (Sales & Marketing Assistant): Amanda has coached several seasons of Williams Lake Youth Soccer, she plays ladies indoor soccer, volunteers with the Williams Lake Stampeder’s Hockey Club, and is an avid runner and cross country skier.

Gary (Sales & Marketing Manager): Gary is an avid golfer and is the Vice President of the Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club.

Joan (Finance): Joan is a huge supporter of her grandson’s soccer team.

Shawn Oviatt (Sugar Cane Site): Shawn coaches his son’s minor hockey team and plays recreational hockey.

Brad Grant & Duane Alphonse (Sugar Cane Site): Brad, Duane and many other Pioneer builders play recreational hockey.
