Bryan Sr., Joel and Shawn are currently overseas for Pioneer’s second trip to Kazakhstan! The trio is currently in Almaty, which is in the southern part of the country and will eventually be traveling to the capital of Astana in the north before heading back home to Canada next month.
This trip sees them setting four Pioneer Log Homes, 2 follow the Pioneer floor plan, 1 the Coarsegold and 1 the Lewisville. The two Pioneer models are approximately 2,000 square feet and will be used as sauna houses.
Fun fact: All four of the homes sent to Kazakhstan have interior log walls. This is something we rarely see in our North American log homes and log cabins, as log walls can take up a substantial amount of square footage.
These four log homes took approximately 2 months to travel from Williams Lake, BC to their respective locations in Kazakhstan. It will take another month for Bryan, Joel and Shawn to set them all. Pioneer Log Homes are more than just log structures; they are journeys and stories and memories in the making!
